The sterility of our allergy extracts is guaranteed by using a filtration process as opposed to the use of Phenol, a chemical preservative that frequently causes reactions in sensitive patients. Additionally, our allergy treatment is customized to each individual patient according to his/her level of sensitivity.

  • Why is our office strictly fee-for-service? Top
Our Center specializes in treating patients from all over the United States with proven treatment modalities as well as innovative approaches to disease. We consider our Center to be on the cutting edge. Unfortunately the health insurance industry is many years behind in recognizing the clinical and scientific achievements of physicians who practice environmental medicine - especially as it pertains to chemical exposure and environmental illness. Many of our protocols are not currently adapted to all of the diagnosis and treatment codes that the insurance industry uses.

It would be impossible for us to provide the level of service and quality of care which we believe is necessary if we had to rely solely on current trends in insurance reimbursement in our field. While we realize that a dilemma exists for patients in having to pay for these services out of pocket, we believe the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Through our professional organizations, we are involved in an ongoing process of lobbying the insurance industry to reevaluate their policies and adapt their coding to reflect our procedures. Your positive comments about our services and the success of your treatment go a long way in moving the insurance industry toward this goal.

  • How does Environmental Medicine work? Top
Environmental Medicine is a unique approach to treating disease that looks at the human body in a holistic manner. This is a comprehensive approach to looking at all of the organ systems and the intricate network that ties them together as it pertains to disease. Our focus is to identify the ‘triggers’ of illness and develop treatment programs designed to help the body heal and maintain itself.
  • How long, after started a recommended program, does it take to feel better? Top
Environmental Medicine looks at the body as a ‘rain barrel,’ which holds on to multiple remnants of poor nutrition, exposure to chemicals and heavy metals, past bacterial and viral infections, and stresses of many kinds to discover what caused your ‘rain barrel’ to overflow, resulting in injury and poor health. This is referred to as the ‘Total Body Stressload,” and is the end result of a long period of ill health. Likewise, good health takes time to develop and be maintained. Many of the immunologic treatments prescribed have an immediate positive impact. However, utilizing a holistic approach to health care which involves multiple organ systems, may take several months to produce the intended results. While this may seem negative at first light, it is actually your body’s positive response to an altered state of health. Long-term wellness is comparable to an exercise program; the more you perform it the stronger you get.
  • Do you work with other physicians and treatment modalities? Top
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage other physicians to work with us in making sure you achieve optimal health. While some medications and treatments may be contraindicated to what we suggest, and some physicians may not agree with our diagnosis of patients, we are open to working with an of your treating physicians. Our goal is to help your body function at its best and to make you feel well with out the use of a lot of medicine, but we encourage you to find a good ‘Primary Care Physician’ in your home town who can follow your progress and is available in times of emergency. We are only a phone call away at all times though. The level of involvement by other doctors is strictly your personal choice as well as their acceptance of our treatment programs and their willingness to cooperate.
