DAIRY PRODUCTS AND BREAST CANCER

I have just returned from my annual research conference at Rensselaerville, New York and would like to share some interesting and provocative information.

Dr. Jane Plant, a victim of Breast Cancer, wrote a book in 2000 entitled Your Life In Your Hands. Here she describes her own experience and that of 65 other women with Breast Cancer who cured themselves by their elimination of all milk and milk products. There was a linear decrease in size of tumors over 6 weeks resulting in the complete disappearance of the tumor.

She discusses the relatively low rate of Breast cancer in China where no dairy products are usually eaten. This came as a surprise to me. I have been pushing all of my patients to simulate Japanese women who have very low levels of Breast Cancer related to their high intake of iodine rich kelp. But I never knew Chinese women also had less Breast Cancer.

Dr. Plant hypothesizes that milk is high in Insulin Growth Factor One (IgF1) and Proloctin substances that promote cell division.

What does anyone with a cancer have to lose by cutting out all dairy products for let’s say 90 days? Evidence also suggests that this phenomenon includes other malignances including ovary and prostate.

As we are monitoring breast cancer through Thermography and have hundreds of women in our database, I would like to ask any of our patients with a Thermogram rated a TH3 or TH4 to consider going dairy free for 90 days and repeat their thermogram.
