How To Protect Your Child

From An Influenza Attack

We here at the Center for Occupational & Environmental Medicine would like to reiterate our instructions for treating your child for exposure to Influenza.

Try to prevent the effects of exposure by regular preventative use of appropriate doses of vitamin D3 all year round. For younger children, I recommend using the vitamin D3 liquid drops.

  • For children under 4 years or younger and less than 40 lbs.,

an appropriate dose is 2000 IU daily. Each drop contains 2000 IU and should be taken with a fatty food or oil such as coconut or olive oil.

  • Children from 40 lbs to 88 lbs in weight should take 4000 IU or 2 drops daily.
  • Children from 89 lbs to 154 lbs should take 5000 IU or (1) 5000 IU capsule daily.
  • 5000 IU can be taken for most adults daily as well.
