It’s that time of the year when I remind you to be prepared for the up coming flu season. Now, I ask you to be vigilant about the outbreak of West Nile Virus as well. The West Nile Virus has become a major concern with thousands already infected in the South West. Recent heavy rains are creating breeding grounds for the mosquitoes that are carriers of the virus, thus increasing the risk of exposure.
Here are a few different ways to either prevent or shorten illness should it occur. |
Vitamin D3 If you are taking your Vitamin D3 5,000 I.U. capsule daily, you are reducing your risk for influenza and other viruses. Should you become sick, I recommend you take 1,000 I.U. of Vitamin D3 per pound of body weight using the Vitamin D3 50,000 I.U. capsules, rounding off to the closest amount (i.e. 100,000 I.U., 150,000 I.U., 200,00 I.U.)
For children, do the same using 1 capsule for kids weighing 30-75lbs and use the 5,000 I.U. capsules for smaller children.

Monolaurin I have been very impressed with the use of the Monolaurin for all viral diseases and even bacterial infections. Monolaurin has a detergent like action on the virus and gives you another effective way to protect yourself. The dose is 5 capsules three times a day taken at first sign of illness. Many have completely aborted their disease with the first dose.
